Dayton Chamber of Commerce – Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC)
In-person networking and business development events through the Dayton Chamber of Commerce (DCC): Through the Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) hosted at the DCC, small, minority-owned, women-owned, veteran friendly and disadvantaged businesses gain access to networking, business development workshops, access to capital programs, and certifications. Most of the events do not require membership in the DCC, and free or budget-friendly. Highly recommend connecting with Jelani Johnson, Dayton Regional Director, MBAC. Check out the DCC’s full events page here. -
SCORE – Business Planning and Financial Statements Templates: Mentors through SCORE Dayton include retired executives who have run successful businesses and offer one-on-one tailored business plans, and workshops year-round.
-
Miami Valley Urban League (MVUL) Business Development & Entrepreneurship Tools: Invaluable resources available through MVUL business skills workshops, in-person networking events, capital access through competitive grants, and more. Contact Ms. Utsey Shelton (ushelton@ulgso.org) for more information and to connect with devoted, smart, and passionate advocates for small businesses throughout the area.
-
Greater West Dayton Incubator Services (hosted via University of Dayton): Access to capital, direct services, mentoring, and other incredible offerings come through this fantastic org hosted via Univ. of Dayton.
